Ed’s is a classic retro American diner which was founded in London by Barry Margolis in November 1987. It was the first of its kind in the UK and our first site opened in London’s Soho.
Ed’s has become a noted London landmark and has long been a location for films, television and photo shoots. It’s a destination for tourists coming to London and has a loyal local fan base. Celebrities have been visiting our diners for years – we’re not ones to blab, so you’ll just have to see if you can spot your favourite celeb the next time you’re in one of our diners.
Ed’s is a small company with a very big brand.
Here’s How
Follow this simple 5-point routine:
Sit > Order > Enjoy > Pay > Go
Don’t be surprised if you find all our seats full. Don’t Panic
Just look for the first empty plate…… then jump.
You won’t have to wait long, we promise. Our service is fast.
Anyhow, the experience will be worth waiting for.
Here’s What
Fancy it isn’t, but Ed’s serves burgers the way used to be. Our burgers are fresh, made to order and delicious. You can stack them up whatever takes your fancy like onions, cheese, chilli, bacon, egg or guacamole.
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the fries. You can have regular fries, chilli fries, cheese fries or wet fries. Don’t feel like fries - then how about our crispy battered onion rings?
If you’re a healthnik there’s even something for you too. How about our wholesome veggie burger? It’s catabolic and it’s good.
Our original shakes and malts are something else. Made with premium Italian ice cream, we even give you an extra serving on the side.
And not forgetting the rest of the drinks. We have American coffee, Coke in glass bottles, American beers for that true American diner experience.
What Else? What else do you need?
Music. There’s pure 50s Rock ‘n’ Roll courtesy of our original table-top Seeburg 100 Wallamatic juke boxes. Simply drop 20p in (it’s the closest we could get to a dime) and pick your favourite tune. You’ll be singing along with our staff in no time
